Abstrakt
The workshop introduced the possibilities of teaching Finnish language and literature through translation of various literary genres. On examples from Finnish fiction it was shown, that it is possible to teach language and literature at the same time from the CEFR level A1 as both fields enrich and support each other.
If translating is present throughout the whole curriculum, in the final translation seminar even whole short stories can be translated and published as a book.
