Abstract
This case report describes the patient with repeated dissection of the thoracic and abdominal aorta. The first dissection of the descending thoracic aorta was solved by stentgraft implantation.
The second dissection affected the ascending aorta. It was complicated by cardiac tamponade.
The condition was managed by an emergency cardiac surgery with an aorto-aortic replacement. The reason for further hospitalization was the progression of anemia.
One of the possible causes could be the recurrence of aortic dissection. This has not been confirmed.
Communicating cavity behind the back wall of the ascending aorta was found with transoesophageal echocardiography examination. CT then confirmed the diagnosis of aortic pseudoaneurysm 85x50mm with blood collection at proximal anastomosis of the aorto-aortic replacement.
