This monograph represents the first part of a three-part series. Its goal is to systematically reflect the teaching of Russian language in Czech primary and secondary schools.
It is based on two key principles: a) consideration of Czech as the mother tongue of most pupils and b) consideration of the specifics of Russian language teaching as the second foreign language. The first part of the monograph deals mostly with the teaching of language systems (subskills), however, the first chapters are focused on basic linguodidactic terms and the context of Russian language teaching in the Czech educational environment.
