Abstract
The paper underscores the importance of spirituality in social work. Besides, it reflects the fact that the spirituality and supervision have a well-based raison d'être and a considerable potential of providing assistance not only to those who give the aid but also to those who are given it.
The text presents the results of a preliminary research that was carried out to identify the methods of social work suited to cultivate social work as a specifically Christian pursuit.
