Abstract
Since his writing "Amoris laetitia" about the love in a family, Pope Francis has been criticized inside the Church. The international Catholic initiative "Pro Pope Francis", launched on 16 October 2017, responds to the attacks against the Pope and to the post-synodal letter.
The iniciative rose thanks to the Viennese pastoral theologian Paul Zulehner and the Czech sociologist and religious philosopher Tomáš Halík, who publicly support the Pope. It stands for a pastoral culture that is based on mercy, for a path that the church may take with its Pope.
