Prague's university Hungarian studies and its role in the translation of Hungarian literature

Abstract

The study focuses on the translation of Hungarian literature into Czech at the Hungarian Studies in Prague. It focuses on 3 periods: 1) František Brábek and his activities; 2) the period 1945-1990 and 3) the period 1990-2014.

The research revealed that Prague's Hungarian Studies was able to convey to the Czech reader important works of the canon of Hungarian literature.
