Publication at Faculty of Science |

Abstract

The current chemistry education is solving problems related to determining the subject matter and education strategy that would correspond to the current educational demands. The main demands are that the subject matter is current, connected to practice, environmentalism and other aspects of the current life, as well as activising educational strategies related to the interest and motivation of the students.

These demands are, to a great extent, satisfied by various forms of interactive education. Therefore, our goal is to create and verify a programme of interactive chemistry course for primary schools based on the characteristics of interactive, ICT-connected education.

This programme should be realized via an educational website and it should satisfy the current demands put on science education on the ISCED 2 level. This work is topical because of the current shortage of interactive chemistry courses.

This contribution shows selected forms of interactive chemistry education that we use in the course, and the way to apply them.
