Abstract
The contribution brings the particular results and findings of the Grant Project GA CR P407 / 12/1830 entitled "The Relationship of the Cognitive Structures of the Learner and the Structures of the Language System in the Process of Education of the Czech Language", which since 2012 deals with the search for new didactic solutions of language education with the systematic application of constructivist educational approaches. The author presents the present research investigations, their tools and findings in the area of mapping children / pupils' preconceptions and concepts of the Nouns genus.
It outlines the issue of the name genus, namely the creation of the concept of gender in the contemporary concept of the educational process at the first level of elementary school. It aims to interconnect the well-known, natural communication acquired acquired language experiences of the child with the general rules of the language system, at the same time draws attention to the current problems of Czech didactics.
