Abstract

This study discusses the specific language variant called vernacular Czech (obecná čeština). This variant cannot be found in Hungarian language, therefore varnacular Czech has in the Czech language translations a form of language compensation.

This factor is illustrated on texts of the contemporary Hungarian literature by Krisztina Tóth and Attila Bartis.
