At the interaface of genres: Karel Havlíček between literary output, epistolography and journalism

Abstract

On the basis of three letters of Karel Havlíček from the latter half of 1854 (12.7., 23.11. 23./24.12) probably adressed to Josef Podlipský an enquiry is made into the different text roles of the writer (poet, epistolographer, journalist-literary critic) and into different letter functions (informative, interactive); the letters with dominating information function represent the act of publication of (in that times unpublishable) other genres (Havlíček's poems, literary criticism)
