Where from and where to? Linguistics of the Czech sign language in the last 25 years

Abstract

The lecture maps the history of the Czech linguistic and cultural approach to deafness, esp. in the connection with the establishment and development of the study programme Czech in the Communication of the Deaf at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University and briefly defines main contemporary and future areas of its interest.
