Moldova and social remittances: the consequences of emigration for the society

Abstract

The article deals with the topic of social remittances, i.e. habits, norms and skills that are transferred by migrants from destination countries to the countries of origin. The first part is dedicated to the topic of social remittances as such, the second part then focuses on the impact of social remittances on Moldova, one of the main source countries of migration in Europe.
