The submitted collective narrative study follows searching for parenting identity in the context of the majority conception of diversity in the environment of communist society. The work is based on research conducted in years 2011-2012 in 24 families with mentally handicapped children by oral method.
Subsequently in year 2018, the longitudinal character of the research survey was applied. Through recorded conversations with his six actors, their memories of totalitarianism, the book aims to answer what was the real life of the parents and their children with mentally disease in socialist Czechoslovakia.
