Work by Jiří Kolář (1914 - 2002) is presented in the context of the late stalinist period in the begining of the 1950's, when the artist was emprisoned due to this poetic work. His creative method and the enagaged power of his work related to the men fate and to the memory of time is focused to the collage and is confrontated especially with "Passagenwer" by Walter Benjamin, with "Archive" by Gerhard Richter and with "Musée imaginaire" by André Malraux.
