"Joint" education - opportunities and risks of a qualitative transformation of educational system

Publication at Faculty of Education |
2017

Abstract

The implementation of inclusive education has been presented as a step against the selective, tracked educational system from the 90s (being itself the reaction to the egalitarian school of the past. Target categories of students and intervention modalities to support them are discussed.

The main consequences are the need for appropriate conditions in the classroom and the necessity to change the professional culture of teachers in mainstream schools. The role of the school psychologist/special education teacher are underlined.
