Abstract
The J. E.
Purkinje Military Medical Research and Training Institute, occurring between 1958 and 1988, holds an important position in the history of our military medical training- and educational system. On the occasion of this year double anniversary the authors briefly describe its character, activities and importance in preparation of military medical professionals for the military health service and the state defence capacity.
Inspite of complicated, dynamically changing political conditions, the Institute reached top-level results in multiple fields of military medicine and prepared hundreds of military medical personnel.
