Abstrakt
The area around the Golf of Izmir witnessed quite a lot of new archaeological activity but also reinterpretation of older finds. The lecture has sketched out anew the possible interpretations, paying attention not only to pottery, but also bronze finds, settlement patterns and burial rites.
