Sociology as a scientific base for the constitution of Czecoslovaquia in 1918

Abstract

The article draws on the application of sociology in the formation of the concept of Czechoslovakia by Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk and his follower Emanuel Chalupný. They see the role of sociology in creation of an objective scientific basis for political action, here specifically to justify the existence of the newly established Czechoslovak state and to understand its role in history.
