Abstract

The article deals with changes in the daily haemoglobin and hematocrit concentration in three elite runners (2 males, 1 female) during an 18-day training camp at medium altitude (1050 m). Haemoglobin and hematocrit was measurement with Cera-Chek Hb+ from a capillary blood sample taken in the morning.

By measuring it was found that even the moderate altitude had a positive effect on haemoglobin and hematocrit values, which increased 4.2-14%.
