We believe that "social exclusion" in its loosely defined meaning is a common phenomenon in modern society. The homelessness per se is an extreme case of social exclusion.
The causal relationship between poverty and selected health hazards has already been explored in a multitude of worldwide studies, but in writing this paper the author wished to get an insight into the destiny of people living at the margins of society and to explore the visions and expectations that they hold in accepting responsibility for their lives. In addition, the research was to reveal the problems that they have to tackle, their feelings and sources of consolation, their opinions on how their life and health could be improved.
The research also tried to define and identify the constituents of social exclusion of the homeless and to find its causes as they may relate to the subjective perception of their physical health. Causes and manifestations of social exclusion.
