Abstract
Petr Bednařík focuses on Hofman's screenwriting of the 1950's. Hofman's interest in young filmgoers (and later in readers) began when he was a student.
Bednařík writes about the prestigious award Hofman received while still a student for his shor film, Honzíkova cesta [Johnny's Journey], based on the book by Bohumil Říha, at he Venice Film Festival in 1957 (in the category of films for very young children).
