Abstrakt
Brent Vine's contributions on all aspects of classical and Indo-European linguis- tics have made him one of the most respected figures in the field. The first Indo-Europeanist I met, nearly twenty-five years ago when I was an undergraduate student at Princeton, he continues to impress and inspire with his meticulously researched and elegantly written articles, particularly on problems of Greek and Italic phonology and word formation.
It is my pleasure to dedicate this study of one Tocharian noun and its derivational background in appreciation of a great scholar and colleague.
