Reader self-concept in the context of reading comprehension

Abstract

The paper highlights the importance of a personality and motivational plane in the development of reader competencies of a child reader. Reading self-esteem is a relatively neglected aspect in diagnosis, but also an intervention in the area of comprehension read.

The aim of the communication is to show the link between the performance of the child in the reader's tests and its reader's self-esteem and illustrate its potential as it can extend the complex reader image of the child.
