Abstract
This paper presents piano as a didactic instrument in general music lessons for children of an early school age. The piano is not only a great aid for motivation in music education, but also an important aid in specific musical activities for children.
A model scenario, proposed by the author of this paper, presents a range of piano use in general music lessons. It contains progressively arranged musical activities which are of playful character and suggest specific teaching instructions to the music educational work with piano miniature.
