Problem of drought causes the higher demand for the crop irrigation however the water sources are limited. The use of treated wastewater might solve the problem of the limited sources of irrigation water.

Nevertheless use of that source might bring some risks too. In this work we have focused on various negative aspects of the wastewater reuse in the agriculture - degradation of soil, problem of PPCPs accumulation in soil and plants, pathogen distribution.

Our focus was also on positive aspects of wastewater irrigation (especially connected with residual nutrient reuse). This abstract presents results of fertilizing tests and results of LCA study that was performed with intention to evaluate economic and environmental potential of wastewater reuse in agriculture.
