Abstract
In the contribution we focus on the study of selected planar curves with respect to kinematic geometry. The elementary physical models and dynamic GeoGebra software to inquire the planar curves are used.
Several examples of planar curves are shown, the types of planar curves are estimated from the experiments, and finally the formal proof is given. Specific types of curves, for instance cone sections, can be studied in secondary schools too.
