Abstract

The afterword to the Czech version of the Bulgarian postmodernist Georgi Gospodinov (*1968) novel "The Physics of Sorrow" (Nakladatelství Lidové noviny, Prague 2018) engages the author's prose in the wider context of contemporary Bulgarian literary life, interprets the novel (against the background of Minotaur's myth) and deals with the Czech reception of Gospodinov's work.
