Embeddings and the growth envelope of Besov spaces involving only slowly varying smoothness

Abstract

We characterize local embeddings of Besov spaces into Lorentz spaces. These results are applied to establish sharp local embeddings of the Besov spaces into Lorentz-Karamata spaces.
