Abstract

In breeding season in 2018, temperature measurements were made in the nesting holes of kingfishers. The temperature was measured by dataloggers with two external sensors.

One sensor was placed in the occupied nesting chamber. The second sensor was placed in a hole of the same depth as the occupied nesting hole.

The temperature was measured from incubation to leaving of chicks the nesting hole. The interval of temperature measuring was 1 minute.

The results can provide detailed information on the course of the breeding process in the occupied nesting hole of kingfishers.
