Abstract
We present a case report of an unusual insufficiency fracture of the sacrum with neurological impairment. The fracture line passes through the S1 vertebral body to the L5-S1 disc, the upper part of the S1 foramen and the lateral mass.
The downward dislocation of the fragment was the cause of the ipsilateral S1 nerve root compression. The patient was successfully treated with the short iliolumbar stabilisation.
