Abstract
The book represents, in terms of the first Czech translation Rejcha's theory of melody, the author's concept of music-theoretical disciplines that he taught at the Paris Conservatory. The study puts into historical context Rejcha's theory of melody, itemphasizes a new perspective on the issue of musical forms and it complements the theme of contemporary notes by C.
Czerny.
