Female orgasm is a complex psychosomatic process. Although there are a number of definitions of female orgasm, almost everyone would agree that it consists of two components: the body component, release of neuromuscular tension in response to sensory (physical) stimulation; and the psychological component, transient peak of intense pleasure, sexual fulfillment and satisfaction.
The incidence of female orgasm is highly variable and depends on many factors. In this paper, we discuss factors influencing occurrence of orgasm in women in relation to sexual and dyadic perspective.
