Abstract
Workshop what took place at the State Castle Jindřichův Hradec brought basic informations about the art of tapestry weaving. Introduction was dedicated to history and typology of tapestries including detailed comments of equipment and tools of historic tapestry weaving workshop.
Weaving techniques and transformation of drawn design into the textile structure was explained. The second part of workshop was concentrated on a visit of the living tapestry weaving workshop and display of historic tapestries in interiors of the Castle Jinřichův Hradec.
Closing discussion dealed with perspectives of living tapestry weaving skills and their use in contemporary lifestyle.
