Abstract
The contribution discusses two Czech translations of the Hittite narrative on the city of Zalpa. It contraposes the whole passages and points to their correspondences as well as to their differences.
The correspondences can be found especially in the overall concept of the narrative, the differences can be found in the wording of the translations as well as in the choice of syntactic and lexical means.
