Abstract
The issues of anger and aggression are the current subject of a discussion in the armed forces, especially in connection to the need for Reserves' psychological assessment. A healthy amount of aggression in Reserves and professional soldiers is not only expected but is also a necessary part of their personality traits.
However, it should not exceed a certain rate, which may result in violent or maladaptive behavior (Gallaway, Fink, Millikan, & Bell, 2012). Aggressiveness assessment is a standard part of a psychological examination within the Czech Armed Forces.
The assessment methods include personality questionnaires, self-assessment scales, and projective methods. This approach may be less susceptible to social desirability and fakeability, and offers generally less distortion of results (Shorey, 2018).
In settings of the Czech Armed Forces the Zulliger Test (ZTT) is standardly applied for these purposes. Our aim is to assess the possibilities of capturing aggressive phenomena in ZTT.
