The comparative study deals with the author's style of Czech writer and script-writer Ota Hofman and author of German literature for children and youth - James Krüss. In the center of the study is fantasy as a part of the author's method and as one of the basic features of artistic work for children and youth reaching also adult readers/viewers.
The study provides an overview of their important works of literature for children and youth of both authors, who connect fairy-tale character Pan Tau (O. Hofman as author, J.
Krüss as translater). A special atention is paid to O.
Hofman and J. Krüss as literary critics.
