Musical culture in Jindřichův Hradec in 1918 optics of the weekly newspaper Ohlas od Nežárka

Abstract

The weekly magazine Ohlas od Nežárky (that was published continuously between 1871 and 1942) is one of the most important sources for the cultural history of the town Jindřichův Hradec in this period. The aim was to create a musical cultural map of Jindřichův Hradec in 1918.

The findings obtained for 1918 were compared with several selected other volumes of the seventy-two-year history of the weekly. Attention was also paid to the events in Jindřichův Hradec, which were related to the declaration of the republic.
