Improving speaking skills at the level B2

Abstract

The paper deals with the ways of improving speaking skills of learners studying Czech at the CEFR level B2. The process of improving speaking skills involves three steps: awareness of spoken language characteristics, controlled practice of language means and their autonomous use.

The paper gives examples of how to widen the repertoire of functional lan- guage means and to promote their active use.
