False Starts and Self-corrections in Learner and Native English

Abstrakt

The study aimed to analyze fluency in advanced learner English in contrast with native-speaker English in the light of the occurrence of the so-called disfluent features, namely false starts and self-corrections. The analysis targetted 100 advanced learners of English and 50 native speakers.
