Teachers' Motivation to Professional Growth and Career Development in the Slovak Republic

Abstract

The paper presents partial results and methodology of the study aimed at motivating teachers to professional growth and career development in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The survey was realised by modeling in focus groups in Slovakia in 2016.

Reflecting the discourse of teachers on career development and career growth interprets the results of the qualitative analysis thus answers the questions - what is the proclaimed motivation of the respondents to professional development and career growth, and how they interpret the teachers themselves.
