Abstract

The lexicon entry presents the life and work of author of the second half of the 20th century writer, who is writing for children and youth, essayist and literary critic. His work is well known for the use of fantasy and linguistic nonsense.

The theme of his prose and verses is northern Germany and especially the island Helgoland. He is also known as translator of Ota Hofman's Pan Tau.
