Abstract
The paper presents an international Canaan dogs conference that took place in Israel in 2015. In the area around Dimona, wild Canaan dogs were spotted.
The puppies were also found in the desert. One female - later named Dardar - was selected as a reinforcement for breeding this breed under the FCI.
