The chapter introduces the general problems of education and education resulting from their institutionalization. This is followed by an analysis of socio-psychological issues of socialization; attention is also paid to critical theories that make the critique of the school form of socialization in modern society.
The following subchapter deals with issues of social perception and its cognitive aspects, draws attention to issues of perception of others and the formation of stereotypes. The subchapter on attitudes discusses extremely serious issues ways of reacting individuals to persons, events and situations, aspects and functions of attitudes in human life are discussed, attention is paid to changes in attitudes, questions of cognitive dissonance and prejudices.
Subsequently, the reader will get acquainted with the perspectives of communication, conflict and aggression, which are strongly reflected in school traffic. The penultimate part is devoted to questions of prosocial behavior, which is also referred to as altruism.
And the whole section concludes a brief reflection on the spirituality issues in the school environment and in human life, underlines the necessity of incorporating the spiritual dimension in the educational process.
