Parallel corpora and contrastive linguistics: Where to look for pitfalls in the translation of information structure

Abstract

The article deals with crosslinguistic differences related to information structure in English and Czech, with a focus on linear ordering of clause elements, FSP structure and distribution of communicative dynamism.
