Abstract

When analysing a cohort of 55183 patients, predialysis serum potassium levels between 4,0 and 5,0 mmol/l were associated with the lowest mortality. Lower predialysis potassium levels were associated with higher mortality.

Higher predialysis serum potassium levels were associated with the risk of arrhytmias.
