On the Issue of Editions of German Sources Using the Example of the Correspondence of Sophia of Bavaria

Abstract
In her contribution, based on her paper on the 11th Congress of Czech Historians in Olomouc, the author deals with the issue of editions of German historical sources related to Czech history. He comes to the conclusion that, in preparing the funded edition of these sources, cooperation between linguists, historians, archivists and other experts is necessary.
Its conclusions are documented on the example of the forthcoming edition of the correspondence of the Czech Queen Sophia of Bavaria, the widow of the Czech king Venceslas IV. of Luxembourg.
