French Gerund and Present Participle at the Light of their compatibility with verbs of perception

Abstrakt

The objective of this study is to analyze syntactic and semantic differences between French gérondif and present participle on the basis of their compatibility with verbs of perception, especially the verbs of visual perception (voir and regarder) et auditive perception (entendre and écouter).
