Abstract

The paper covers three topics regarding the archaeology of the town of Most (NW Bohemia) and its region, which have been treated differently by Czech and Saxon archaeologists. 1) Evidence for the existence of a direct road connection between Saxon and Most. 2) The very beginnings of the castles in the Ore Mountains, built by Bohemian nobles. 3) The relationship between medieval ceramic production in NW Bohemia and Saxony.
