Concept of "Smart Education" as a Solution for Uneven Global Development: Case of Secondary Vocational Schools

Abstract

This paper deals with globalization processes and their impact. It points out that global development is uneven as a result of which institutional elements including education lag behind.

This is demonstrated on specific crisis of secondary vocational schools that strive to meet both, general and vocational objectives at the same time. Concept of "smart education" could be a solution for this situation as it is a complex model.

In the end, three possible scenarios for secondary vocational school are introduced. The fact that Czech Republic should choose one of them and follow this vision is underlined.
