Abstract
Despite a relatively low proportion in population, foreign citizens do not have a positive overall image for most of the Czech population. The paper aims to find out to what extent the Czech population's concerns about foreigners reflect the experiences of the areas with their marked concentrations.
Field research in three Czech areas suggests that the outcomes of migration in particular localities can differ significantly from the public notions based on stereotypes often reproduced in the media.
